The Everett Area School District elementary site brings together students from Breezewood as well as Everett Elementary School for fun activities every Monday – Thursday, 3-6 p.m., during the school year. A highlight every year is a four-week summer camp in June, which is always filled with long wait lists.

On-site programming is coordinated by two fourth grade teachers. Dr. Deb Chiappelli-LaSalle has been working in the after school program for many years – first as a fourth-grade tutor, then as a site coordinator and this year sharing the on-site duties with fellow fourth grade teacher Misty Hartman. The pair are joined by former secondary site coordinator Dana Beegle, who help Deb and Misty with the reporting side of the job.

The program is based in the Everett Area Elementary library and uses multiple other spaces throughout the evening to engage is lots of fun activities. A favorite for all of the kids is nutrition education. “Our kids love to eat and learn about new foods and cultures.”

Open Houses and Parent Engagement events are another highlight – five to six times per year elementary students join the After 3 program for combined activities at the high school with parents and other family members.
