Canadian Trail Mix



4 cups Cheerios

4 cups wheat Chex

2 cups mini pretzels

2 cups cornflakes

2 cups yogurt covered raisins (or raisins)

2 cups fish shaped crackers



Mix all ingredients in a large container. 

Store in airtight container for up to one month.



Purple Cow or Welch's Purple Cow




6 cups 1% low-fat milk

12 oz. frozen grape concentrate

1 cup fat-free vanilla yogurt

Ice (optional)



Combine ingredients in a container/pitcher with lid and shake/stir until well blended.

Pour into a tall glass




1 bottle Purple Grape Juice

Vanilla ice cream



In large pitcher, pour bottle of grape juice and add several scoops of vanilla ice cream until juice is close to top of pitcher (allow room to stir).

Stir until ice cream is melted and serve.

Skillet Pizza



Pizza/biscuit dough

Assorted toppings

Pizza sauce

Mozzarella cheese



1. Grease a 12-in. electric or stove-top skillet.

2. Line bottom and 1/2 in. up the sides of the skillet with dough.

If using biscuits, pull buscuit in half (1/2 per student) and flatten like a personal pizza.

3. Cook over medium heat (set electric skillet to 300 degrees) until crust is brown on bottom.

4. Flip over and spread pizza sauce over dough. (BE CAREFUL!  PAN IS HOT!)

5. Layer toppings over sauce and sprinkle with cheese.

6. Put lid on skillet for up to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.

7. Transfer to plate and serve immediately.

NOTE:  Can use English muffins and microwave

Party Punch


1 (2 liter) bottle fruit punch

1 (64 oz.) bottle orange juice

1 (2 liter) diet ginger ale or 7-up



Mix together and serve!

No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies


1 cup margarine

1 cup soy or 2% milk

2 cups sugar

1 cup Splenda

1 cup cocoa powder

5 cups oats



1. Place first 4 ingredients in saucepan and bring to boil, stirring often.

2. Boil 5 minutes.

3. Remove from heat and stir in oats.

4. Form into small balls and drop on wax paper.

5. Let cool and serve!

No Bake Peanutty Granola Bites


1 cup powdered sugar

1/3 cup milk

1 1/2 cups oats

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 tsp. vanilla

1 cup low-fat granola cereal



Combine sugar, peanut butter, milk and vanilla in bowl; mix well with spoon.

Stir in oats, cereal, and morsels; mix until cereal is completely coated.

Roll and press mixture into 1 inch balls; place on plate/wax paper and let stand until firm.

Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator.

Green Tea Sparkler


Instant Green Tea

6 cups water

Diet 7-up



Mix tea according to package directions.

Add equal amount of 7-up.

Serve over ice.

Optional:  garnish with mint, add one tablespoon honey
