Welcome to the Chestnut Ridge After School Website. After School is NOW open for all students in grades 2-5 who reside in the Chestnut Ridge School District. It's is a FREE program open Monday through Thursday right after school from 3 – 6 pm. We'll even provide snack, homework assistant, recreation, enrichment filled activities and transportation home.
In addition to activities each evening the program also offers four fun and free field trips throughout the school year. Last year the students went roller skating, enjoyed a movie at the Pitt theater, went to Lincoln Caverns to explore the caves, and went to Shawnee State park for a picnic.
We also have four family night open houses for the students parents to come and enjoy a night of after school with their children. Throughout the year, all parents, siblings and grandparents are invited to evenings filled with unique opportunities such as Talent Shows, Outside Snow Fun, Mystery Nights, and more.

The Chestnut Ridge School District is located in rural South Central Pennsylvania, encompasses over 300 square miles and serves about 1600 students. CR Middle School can be found in Fishertown, PA--located 10 miles west of Bedford,PA-- 23 miles east of Johnstown, PA-- and 30 miles south of Altoona, PA.
